Congratulations to the newly called presiding bishop of the ELCA, the Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, bishop of the NE Ohio Synod! Thank you to Bishop Mark Hanson for your gracious leadership these past 12 years, and blessings to Bishop Eaton as you embark on the next 6! Bishop Eaton was chosen on the 5th ballot of the 2013 Churchwide Assembly and will transition into her new call over the next several months. (and since some of you are wondering, she’s 58–I have no idea why she looks so unbelievably young in her headshot, but I know her leadership, passion for Christ, and overall vision is a heck of a lot more important! -Pastor Chris)
