“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it…”
Paul was right: each of us is a member of the larger Christian family, a member with gifts and talents to be used for the glory of God. But all too often we struggle to make full use of those gifts, and frequently it is because we don’t invest ourselves in the larger community of faith. You are invited to a special course on Christianity, Lutheranism, and the role of our congregation in witnessing to God in our community. We will meet as the Adult Forum from 11am to ~12:30 on October 20, 27, and November 3. Those who are interested are invited to use this as a means to formalize the membership at Bethel that they have already claimed with their presence in worship—current formal members are invited to use this as a time to explore their faith and ponder the future ministries of our community.
